Subject: [*] MapMaker 1.1.1

MapMaker by is a small Macintosh utility to create mapfiles used by
imagemaps.

MapMaker 1.1.1 fixes two really important bugs related to saving of
maps.

Features in version 1.1.1:

* Save maps in three different formats, NCSA, CERN and ClientSide
* Test your maps without server in the testmode
* Open and edit your old maps
* Browse your harddrive for links (no need to know the exact path)
* Opening of GIFs and JPEGs without QuickTime. MapMaker can PICTs too,
if you for some odd reason would like to do that.
* Zoom the image within the range of 25 - 500%
* Select the creator of the outputfiles
* Draw, move, duplicate, remove or resize ovals, circles, rectangles or
polygons (sorry, no resizing of polygons).
* Define alternative strings for users with non-graphical browsers in
Clientside or HTML 3.0
* Specify a value for onMouseOver in clientside maps
* Use the nohref-option in ClientSide maps

Subject: [*] PowerMenu 2.0J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the PowerMenu package.

PowerMenu is the definitive, comprehensive Contextual Menu utility.
PowerMenu adds powerful commands to the Finder's Contextual Menu under
MacOS 8, and provides its own Contextual Menu for System 7 users. Only
PowerMenu's wide range of commands lets you:

*Open selected files into any running application
*Open selected files into any other application on your drive
*Copy or make an alias of selected files into target folders of your
choosing
*Quickly open commonly used files or launch any application right from your
Contextual Menu

That's not all! PowerMenu also offers the following features:

*A pop-up menu, accessible from any application, that lets you quickly open
or launch your commonly used files and applications with a single click.
*Fully hierarchical menus to allow you to group items into submenus for
even faster access
*Multithreaded operation; PowerMenu rebuilds your menus in the background
while you work, so even very large menus appear instantly
*Takes full advantage of the Contextual Menu under MacOS 8, but is still
fully compatible with System 7!

Subject: [*] PowerMenu: A Contextual Menu Utility for MacOS 8 and 7!

This is the third submission of this version in as many days!
Two last-minute bugs were noticed and fixed in the last 48 hours
with the help of observant users. My apologies to the archivist!
This version replaces all previous ones.

PowerMenu is the definitive, comprehensive Contextual Menu
utility. PowerMenu adds powerful commands to the Finder's Contextual
Menu under MacOS 8, and provides its own Contextual Menu for System 7
users. Only PowerMenu's wide range of commands lets you:

  - Open selected files into any running application
  - Open selected files into any other application on your drive
  - Copy or make an alias of selected files into target folders of
your choosing
  - Quickly open commonly used files or launch any application right
from your Contextual Menu

As if that weren't enough, PowerMenu also provides a pop-up menu,
accessible from any application, that lets you quickly open or launch
your commonly used files and applications with a single
click. PowerMenu's menus are all fully hierarchical, and are
automatically rebuilt in the background as you work.

PowerMenu is heavily customizable and is optimized for both
Macintosh and Power Macintosh computers, meaning it will run at full
speed on whatever model you use. PowerMenu requires MacOS 8, System
7.5.x, or System 7.1.x with the Scriptable Finder installed. PowerMenu
is $15US shareware. PowerMenu v2.0 is a free update for registered users.

You can read more about PowerMenu, and see some screen shots of it
in action, at http://www.kagi.com/authors/marka/.

Subject: [*] Save ClipBoard v1.2

This is the first public release of Save ClipBoard v1.2, a freeware
AppleScript application. This small application is a handy tool for
anyone who needs to read through a lot of text and wants to save
snippets of that text to a single file. As you go through your reading
material (web pages, usenet, e-mail, whatever) just save the "snippets"
to the clipboard and run this application. Each time, the clipboard text
is added to a text file, without overwriting what is already there. When
you are ready, open the file with your text editor or even Simple Text,
and there is everything you wanted to save. You can then clear out your
file for the next time.

From: der@ma-lab.fh-furtwangen.de
Subject: [*] Unix-Droplet_0.4beta

Unix-Droplet enables you to control command-line driven programs from
your Macintosh using an intuitive Mac-like user interface. The
controlled programs may run on the Mac under MacOS, on the Mac under
some Unix or MS-DOS emulation, on a remote Unix-box, possibly on any
computer you can connect to somehow. You don't notice where the program
processing your files is actually running and interact with
Unix-Droplet as you would do with any other Mac-application. A simple
piping mechanism is supported: You can drop one application on another
one which will then wait and expect its input coming from the first
application.

Unix-Droplet translates the user interaction (names of dropped files,
options set in dialogs, etc) into a command which you would have to
type into a console if you interact with the controlled program via
text terminal. Unix-Droplet writes this command into a textfile, and
then sends this file to the controlled process.

Unix-Droplet should run on any Macintosh System >=7. It is free.

H. Dersch (der@fh-furtwangen.de)
