About Patch Manager
You use the Patch Manager tool to manage patches on Solaris systems. You can do the following with Patch Manager:
- View the applied patches on a system.
- View the properties of an applied patch.
- Download patches from the SunSolve OnlineSM Web site.
- Remove patches from a single system.
- Apply patches to one or more systems running the Solaris 9 or compatible operating environment.
You must use the command-line interface to:
- Apply patches to systems running a Solaris operating environment released prior to version 9.
- Remove patches from multiple systems.
