Subject: [*] [Disk Watcher 1.0.2] Automatically check disks for corruption

Description:
"Disk Watcher" fully automates Disk First Aid to check your disks for
corruption. Results are logged. What action to (automatically) take
when a disk problem is found is 100% customizable!

The idea is "damage prevention" - disk errors can go unnoticed,
resulting in even more errors until finally things go really wrong.
Checking your disks on a regular basis is just good "disk-keeping".
Disk Watcher automates that for you.

Use:
The Disk Watcher installer will put everything in place. It gives you
the option to have Disk Watcher launched on every startup, or just once
per day at startup. Alternatively you can have a cron launch it at
whatever interval you deem appropriate.

- Disk Watcher allows you to exempt disks from being checked based on
the kind of disk (locked, ejectable) and/or based on the disk's name.
- Disk Watcher allows you to have your own custom actions take place
(which can even overrule Disk Watcher's default action) when a disk
problem is found. Such an action might be to automatically launch
another disk repair utility, but may also be to launch your own home
grown scripts... Powerful stuff!

System Requirements:
- Works under Mac OS 7.5 through 9.1
- Disk First Aid 8.2 or higher
- AppleScript needs to be enabled

History:
- 1.0.2 - Fixed a few small bugs and included latest version of "The Dailies"
- 1.0.1 - First public release

Pricing and payment:
Disk Watcher is $10,- non-crippled shareware with a free 30-day trial period.
Payment is handled by Kagi.

Brickles3000 v1.0 Released!

Brickles3000 is an all-new game based on the 'ball and paddle' game called Brickles, which was first offered in 1985, shortly after the introduction of the first Macintosh.

The new Brickles3000, aside from being optimized for the PowerPC, also features much smoother animation than in days past. A new toolbar allows for rapid personalized game customizations, making it a snap to adjust speed, ball and paddle sizes, game colors and window sizes and shapes.

Brickles3000 requires a Macintosh (PPC-only.)

Subject: [*] TaskMenuBar 2.4.1

TaskMenuBar is a control panel that uses the empty space on the
menu bar for many operations such as launching and switching
applications, and opening files. Because it only uses the menu bar,
unlike other utilities, it will never obscure or be obscured by other
windows.

The version 2.4.1 fixes several bugs and conflicts.

Requires System 7.1 or later including OS-8 and 9 with a 68K
or PPC processor.

Shareware fee: $15.

Subject: [*] X-Assist 0.3J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the X-Assist package.

X-Assist was created to assist in the much loved but missing features of
OS 9 in OSX.

*Application Switcher Menu (top right corner of screen)
X-Assist has a similar implementation.

*More than a 5 item "Recent Applications" menu.
X-Assist has no "limit".

*The ability to add personal hierarchies of items in an OS9-like "apple" menu.
X-Assist allows users to add any hierarchy into a "Shortcuts" submenu.

*An extensible "Control Strip" like plugin architecture.
X-Assist supports Objective-C (NSBundle) plugins. They are easy to write,
and examples "SetVolume" and "MP3 Player" plugins are provided in this distribution.

*OS 9 window behavior - when you switch applications by clicking in a
window, all windows for that application are shown. This behavior has
changed in OSX and can be a bit annoying. X-Assist brings back the OS9
windowing functionality and also allows you to toggle between modes.

How much does it cost?

Its FREE!

Check out the following Shareware application which may also interest
you:

NetFinder is a FTP/HTTP/FILE browsing application that looks like the
Finder (OS8).
It supports viewing remote servers and local files in a hierarchy, plus
much more.
A fully functional installer can be downloaded from:

http://www.bridge1.com

Some features of NetFinder:
- As Finder-like as you can imagine when browsing.
- resume FTP/HTTP
- Drag and Drop everywhere.
- Its Local File Browsing mode allows you to view, sort and change Label's too!

Try it and you will be hooked.
