BackgroundWarper 1.2 -	creates seamless warped-surface
background patterns unusual in Web pages, with new Clue window
to better understand the parameters. Instead of drawing with
brushes, you set global parameters (of warpers, squishing mode
and colours of the sheet and light sources, using hints to
make colours harmonize). Explications come in the Help menu

BackgroundWarper comes with examples ready to use and modify.
You can use Netscape, Mac, Windows palettes. The unregistered

The full version can save smoothly moving tile sequences in

Black & Bleu=81 is an application that shows you the meaning of all of the
documented and many of the undocumented Mac OS error codes. Many codes
include information about what might be the cause of the error and what you
can do about it.

The database contains over 2500 error codes with Apple's short explanations
of each. Our detailed explanations and remedies are included for the most
common of these errors. The type of detailed information can be selected
from 2 categories: a Non-technical User orientation and a Programmer
orientation. The Non-technical User explanation is presented in a way that
someone without a programming background can understand. The Programmer
explanation is written in VERY technical terms that usually includes source
code that demonstrates the error. To fully understand the Programmer
explanation, you should be familiar with Macintosh programming (in C or
C++).

Black & Bleu=81 is also available from our web site: www.bleurose.com as a
free fully functioning demo. This demo can be launched for a total of 3
times before it expires.

Subject: [*] CopyPaste 4.3J - Japanese Version

File Name: copypaste4.3j.sit.hqx

This is the Japanese version of the CopyPaste package.

MacUser Utility of the Year 1996 and America Online's Mac Utility 1996
Shareware Award Winner and Shareware Junkies Mac Program of the Year 1997

NEW!!! Starting with version 4.3 the preferences allow you to change
settings for individual programs. The previously hardcoded settings are
already preset but can be changed.

**MacOS 8 compatible!
**Full Drag & Drop compatibility!
**Use up to 100 independent clipboards by menu or simple key commands!
**View and access all the clipboard using the CopyPaste Palette!
**Append text to 1 of 10 files on disk at any time!
**Process text, picture and net data on the Clipboards in many ways!
**Use a command key to switch and/or view all applications!
**Pop-up palette function and more!

One of the early wonders of the Mac was its revolutionary ability to do
copy and paste across various applications. Unlike other areas in the
Mac's
system software that have changed and progressed over the years, copying
and pasting has not evolved. How many times have you found yourself going
back and forth copying in one application and pasting in a different
application, wishing to yourself that you could copy 5-10 items at a
time,
then go to another application and paste each of these items. Now you can
with a vengeance!

NEW FEATURES

VERY IMPORTANT: Whenever you upgrade to a newer version of CopyPaste, you
should remember to remove any older versions from the Extensions Folder of
your System. Then install the new version and restart.

In Version 4.3
*bug fixes:
- On Japanese systems the inline input method uses the Scrap Manager - very
strange. This caused problems with the Clip Recorder.
*Many programs do NOT use the DeskScrap (=the public clipboard) for their
own copy and paste action, so CopyPaste sends these programs to the
background and back to the front in order to get the desired clip. You
could see this in previous versions when the program hides toolbars and
othe window elements. This version now patches the involved routines so
that the toolbars stay on the screen, which accelerates CopyPaste`s
performance. You can switch this option off in the preferences if you have

Macintosh port of GNU Emacs 20.3
This StuffIt archive contains the files needed to build the Macintosh
port of GNU Emacs 20.3. Either Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 4 or MPW-GW
(Feb. 1999) can be used to build it.

Instructions for building this port can be found in the README file.

This port still lacks some major features of Emacs (e.g., dump-emacs,
subprocesses, and networking capabilities) and should be viewed as a
work in progress. It is released under the GNU Public License.

This port has been built on a Power Macintosh 8500 with 48M of RAM. You
should be able to build it if you have a better machine.

In additional to this file, you will need the standard source
distribution of GNU Emacs 20.3.

The Emacs source distribution, the Mac files, and files generated by
compilation take up a little less than 100M disk space. Allow for a few
additional tens of megabytes of temporary disk space during a build.

A web page for this port can be accessed at

  http://www.cs.hku.hk/~choi/emacs/index.html

or

  http://home.netvigator.com/~akochoi/emacs/index.html

Up-to-date source code and patches as well as information about the port
will be posted there.

Enjoy!

FinderKeeper neatly stacks the windows on your desktop as
they are opened. Each volume on your Mac (hard disk, CD-ROM,
floppy) is given a starting position on your monitor where
its windows start appearing and then cascade down and to the
right. The current version of FinderKeeper is preset with
four starting positions - upper left, upper middle, lower
left and lower middle. Future versions will include a
Control Panel to allow customized window placements,
automatic zooming and preferred view settings. We love good
feedback from our users, so don't hesitate to e-mail, fax or
call with any suggestions. <http://www.elsware.com>

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Subject: [*] GestLab 1.0b1 - The ultimate Gestalt Manager tool

GestLab is the Gestalt.Appl successor, a tool that allows you to check all
Gestalt selectors posted by Mac OS or by any other piece of software. It is
also a database including information about your system environment. You
see not only some technical infos but also understandable interpretation of
most codes (in English).

There are too many new features in GestLab to be listed here (a mini doc is
included). You have to know that GestLab user interface needs at least
Appearance Manager 1.0.1 (version found in Mac OS 8.1 and next). You can
install the Appearance extensions in Mac OS 7.1 and next (these extensions
are available at www.apple.com). Without Appearance Manager, you will only
allowed to save your configuration, not to examine it.

So, if your machine has at least Mac OS 8.1, use GestLab. With older
systems, continue to use Gestalt.Appl.

GestLab main goal is to maintain the more exhaustive Gestalt selector
database. When using it, if your configuration is displaying info not yet
in the database (what it is very easy to realize, this info is displayed in
red), don't hesitate to send it to me: I'll analyse it and update the
database for the next release. Your collaboration is essential in this
domain.

As Rene G. A. Ros said in his Gestalt Selectors List, GestLab is
the new 'official' Gestalt hunters tool! This 1.0b1 version is the first
widely available version. Expect many evolutions in a near future.

l'examiner.

Donc, si vous avez Mac OS 8.1, utilisez GestLab. Avec des systemes plus
anciens, continuez a utiliser Gestalt.Appl.

suivante. Votre collaboration est essentielle dans ce domaine.

Comme l'a dit Rene G. A. Ros dans sa Gestalt Selectors List, GestLab est le
nouvel outil de reference des chasseurs Gestalt. Cette version 1.0b1 est la
premiere version largement diffusee. Attendez-vous a de nombreuses
evolutions dans un futur proche.

Subject: [*] Kaleidoscope 2.1.2 (German)

Kaleidoscope 2.1.2 -- Shareware $25
by Greg Landweber and Arlo Rose

German Version

Kaleidoscope is the ultimate in user interface customization, letting
you switch between completely different designs provided by plug-in
files called "Schemes". Kaleidoscope comes with eight schemes,
including the Mac OS 8, System 7, and Be OS interfaces, as well as
five radically new designs
by Arlo Rose, formerly of Apple's Human Interface Design Center.
There are also several thousand third party schemes available on the
Kaleidoscope Scheme Archive and elsewhere.

Kaleidoscope 2.1.2 offers many improvements and resolves various
conflicts. It works better with the latest applications that take
full advantage of the Mac OS 8.5 Appearance Manager, such as MT- or
YA-NewsWatcher and Transmit. In particular, Internet Explorer 4.5
looks especially good now with Kaleidoscope running. Menus with
complex patterns should draw faster, too. In addition, version 2.1.2
fixes problems with the new Blue & White G3's, StuffIt SpaceSaver,
FaxSTF, Extensions Manager, AppleWorks, Internet Explorer, Action
Files, SmartScroll, AliasMenu, Palm Desktop, DeskScan, Bias Peak, and
Claris Impact.

MiniWin 4.1 Demo
May 16, 1998 by James Harvey

68k Macintosh
Power Macintosh
System 7.5 or greater

Due to many requests, the Demo version is now a control panel!! Thanks to
all who suggested that change. Also, the speed and accuracy of the search
routines has been improved.

If you would like to have small windows with quickly identifiable icons on
your screen, instead of a bunch of look-alike collapsed window titlebars,
then MiniWin is for you!! It consists of a control panel and extension
that you simply drop onto your System folder.

The Demo version will show you how MiniWin can make your life easier by
giving you more screen space when you need it. No need to close or move
windows! No need to hunt for the right titlebar! WOW!! Who could ask for
more??

If you like what you see, you may purchase the full version, which is a
control panel, for the paltry sum of $20.00. Upgrades are free to
registered users! See the Read Me file for the details on the extras you
get when you purchase the full version. Thank you for trying MiniWin.

Enjoy!

Subject: [*] SwitchBack 2.7.2J - Japanese Version

File Name: switchback2.7.2j.sit.hqx

This is the Japanese version of the SwitchBack package.

SwitchBack is a utility program that synchronises two folders, so that
both folders have a copy of the most recent version of their files. The
two folders can reside on the same volume, on two different volumes, or
indeed on two different computers connected by a network.

It has been designed principally for those people with two computers
(especially desktop and PowerBook) who need to ensure that they have the
most recent version of their documents available to them.

It also functions well as a simple backup utility for people with one
computer. For example, a folder residing on your main hard disk can be
linked to a folder residing on a floppy disk.

Listed here are some of the more commonly used features that SwitchBack
offers:

*Activity log
*Alias resolving
*Auto start option
*Auto-mounting and unmounting of remote volumes
*Balloon help
*Background copying and notifications
*Collision detection
*Compatible with all Macintoshes and clones runningハSystem 7.1 and later
*Copies up to 3 times faster than the Finder
*Detection of network time discrepancies
*Drag and Drop aware
*Error notification and optional log
*Power Macintosh and 68K native
*Report window allowing you to see what SwitchBack plansハto do
*Stationery aware
*Use of System temporary memory
*Uses Navigation Services if available
*Works with DOS disks

Changes in version 2.7.2J:

Fixed problem with scan engine introduced in and limited to version 2.7.1.
Subfolders were not always being scanned.

Changes in version 2.7.1J:

*Fixed a bug that caused a "InterfaceLib---PBXGetVolInfoSync" warning to be
displayed on startup.

Subject: [*] TitleTrack CD Player 2.0

The TitleTrack CD Player v2.0 from RiverSong InterActive provides the
ultimate way to play music CDs in your Mac's CD-ROM drive. Just insert a
CD in the drive, and TitleTrack automatically connects to the CDDB, an
online database containing information on hundreds of thousands of CD
titles, and downloads information (including disc title, artist and
complete songlist) on the CD. Just click on a line of the songlist to
begin play. TitleTrack CD Player includes all the standard audio control
features (play, pause, stop, fast forward, rewind, eject, etc.), plus
you can create custom play orders for each CD; drag and drop CD Cover
art into the display; enter detailed information (including guest
artists, engineer, producer, label, user rating, year and more) for each
CD; automatically link to Web pages relevant to the particular CD; and
much, much more!

Not only does TitleTrack CD Player provide a great way to listen to your
music, but it also is a great way to catalog your entire CD collection.
The program's "Catalog" window allows you to view, edit and organize all
your CDs. You can easily create and print reports on your collection,
and even export the CD information into other database programs such as
FileMaker Pro. (On the TitleTrack Web site you can download FileMaker
templates designed by other users for use with TitleTrack, or upload
your own custom FileMaker template).

The TitleTrack CD Player was chosen by CNET Central as a "Cool Tool of
the Week" (and featured on its nationally syndicated television show);
has been ranked the number one download in the Home and Personal
category on the download.com Web Site (where it is a staff "pick" and
remains one of the most popular titles); received four and a half (out
of five) Cows on the Tucows Interactive Web Site; and has been called by
satisfied users the "greatest thing since sliced bread" and one of the
best innovations "since the wheel."

Version 2.0 is a complete rewrite of the original TitleTrack CD Player,
providing improved performance and reliability, and many new and
enhanced features, including: the ability to upload information to the
CDDB; batch look-ups of groups of CDs for greater efficiency in entering
your CD collection; the ability to import information from earlier
versions; a completely redesigned user interface; a detailed and fully
indexed, 70+ page user manual; and more.

For more information: see <http://www.titletrack.com> or

Subject: [*] V&N Lookup 1.3.7 - dictionary, spellchecker, text-translator

'V&N Lookup' is an easy-to-use program that puts dictionary-power at your
fingertips. It makes use of the dictionaries for the application program
'Verbs&Nouns'. You can use 'V&N Lookup' while you are working with other
text-based applications because it searches for any word that you copy to
the clipboard. Depending on which modules you have, 'V&N Lookup' can locate
similar words in several languages at the same time. It can check the
spelling and translate passages of text word for word.

The application 'V&N Lookup' is part of the 'Foreign Language Toolkit'. To
try out the program you can download not-protected dictionaries and play
with them. The examples of them are:
