Subject: [*] PowerMenu v2.2.3: A contextual menu utility

PowerMenu is a utility that adds powerful commands to your contextual
menu if you are running MacOS 8 or better. If you are running the older
Macintosh System 7, PowerMenu adds a contextual menu to your system so you
can still use this innovative feature without upgrading to MacOS 8.

Version 2.2.3 corrects a startup bug and greatly accelerates the drawing
of custom icons under MacOS 8.5.

PowerMenu's contextual menu commands let you do all these operations
with a single click:

    - Open files straight into any application. If the application you want
to use isn't running, PowerMenu automatically launches it for you
    - Move, copy or make an alias of files straight into target folders of
your choosing
    - Quickly open commonly used files or launch any application

PowerMenu also provides these handy features:

    - "File Copy and Paste", a unique feature that makes manipulating files
much easier. With File Copy and Paste, you can "pick up" files and "drop"
them into another folder without dragging and dropping. You can even
"gather" many files from different locations and copy or move them all to a
single target folder with just a few clicks or keystrokes!

    - A pop-up menu, accessible from any application, that lets you quickly
open or launch your commonly used files and applications with a single
click.

PowerMenu is heavily customizable and is optimized for both Macintosh
and Power Macintosh computers, meaning it will run at full speed on whatever
model you use. PowerMenu requires MacOS 8.x, System 7.5.x, or System 7.1.x
with the Scriptable Finder installed. PowerMenu is $15US shareware.

What is OneApp Address Book?
OneApp Address Book is a practical telephone and address program for
Macintosh that allows you to quickly and easily manage addresses, phone
numbers, URLs and Email addresses. All this information, previously
scattered on notes, notepads, diaries, phone books and also in various
Email programs, Internet browsers and databases, is now stored in a
single place. With OneApp Address Book you can quickly find what you are
looking for. OneApp Address Book helps you in your daily work at the
office or at home and can follow you everywhere in your PowerBook.

OneApp Address Book is integrated with the Internet, allowing you to
connect with Web pages and send Email using your favourite Email and
browser software. The program also helps you to dial phone numbers by
reading them out loud (through the speaker) and has a most useful
calendar that appears in a small separate window.

OneApp Address Book lets you easily import addresses from the principal
Email clients, like Claris Emailer, Eudora Light, Eudora Pro, Microsoft
Outlook Express and from text files exported from Claris Works, Microsoft
Works and FileMaker Pro. In addition you can export the whole OneApp
Address Book database or selected parts of it.

When you begin using OneApp Address Book, you will appreciate all its
benefits. If you know how to use a mouse, then you are able to use OneApp
Address Book and you don't need to read the manual, but in this file you
will find some interesting information about the program.

Subject: [*] EZNote v1.41 released!

Announcing the update of the Mac only utility EZNote

File name......: EZNote 1.41
Date of release: 3/24/99

Have you ever needed to jot down a note quickly (or grab some text from a
web page) and be able to easily find it later? Ever wanted to copy a
selection of text while web browsing for later reading without copying
and pasting between applications or saving the text to a file? EZNote
can do these things and more at the touch of a key or click of a mouse
without having to leave the application you're in!

Of course, you'll be able to hit another key at any time that will bring
up a list of all your notes, which you can edit, delete, search, replace,
print and move from category to category (create as many categories as
you like) with ease! EZNote lets you do all standard text editing
including changing fonts, styles, sizes, color, etc. Another extremely
handy feature allows you to select text from any note and have EZNote
automatically paste the text directly into any text document you are
working on.

Some uses for EZNote:
* Great for web browsing, save selections of text as individual notes or
append them to one single note!
* bring up a text editor instantly with one key press!
* copy selected text from any application with one keystroke and store it
for later reading or editing
* keep an on-line journal of daily activities
* keep a To Do list
* keep commonly used text clippings to be able to paste into any
application
* grab a note or selection of text from any category without having to
leave the application you're in with a keystroke!
* maintain a simple and easy to access address book and phone number list
* collect and organize the information from those scattered text document
and clipping files
* use EZNote to alter text on the clipboard (edit, change it to all
uppercase or lowercase, remove line feeds, etc.)
* excellent tool for creating/editing/archiving and responding to email!

Bug fix in version 1.41:
Hitting the Return or Enter key to quit EZNote on some computers would
cause a crash, this has been fixed.

New features added in version 1.4:
Added searchable comments for each note (which are linked with the Finder
comments), can now choose between saving notes as clipping files or

* Without registering, the application will run for 30 minutes and track
the satellite(s) you choose and display the proper Doppler corrected
frequencies that can be entered manually in any rig. When registered with
AMSAT ($50.00 US) MacDoppler will connect to your radio and rotor

* MacDoppler features full predictive dead spot crossing so that a pass
is never interrupted by the beam heading passing a southern dead spot.
* A slider control allows you to sweep the VFO through the transponder
range while the transmit frequency tracks the receive frequency. When you

problems from versions 2.0 and 2.0.1 and replaces both the PPC and 68K
versions (it now comes as a fat binary).

Description
Quit It is a system extension that automatically quits an application when
its last window is closed by the user. This can be very useful when novice
users are working on a computer, who often close a window by clicking on
the close box of a document window, thinking the application is quit. This
can easily lead to confusion, or memory shortage.
Quit It can be fully configured through its control panel, with individual
settings for installed applications.

Subject: [*] TypeLaunch 1.0

TypeLaunch is an application launcher where you type part of the name of
applications you want to start. You do not need to know the exact name
of an application; if you want to launch "Microsoft Word 5.1", simply
typing "word" will work - as will "5.1", "microsoft w" or any other part
of the name which is long enough to distinguish it from other
applications.

Typing the name of an application is generally done in only a fraction
of the time needed to locate the application in Finder, and TypeLaunch
continually searches among your applications as you type, so that you
seldom need to write more than three or four characters.

TypeLaunch does not require you to add applications of your choice to
some list. Instead it quickly searches entire drives for all
applications available.

Features:
* Very fast - scans giant hard drives almost instantaneously.
* Small - requires very little memory and even less hard drive space.
* Clean and simple user interface.
* Perfect for placing in you Startup Items folder.

Requirements:
* PowerPC Macintosh.
* System 7.
* Color or grayscale monitor.

For more information, please read the enclosed manual or visit the
TypeLaunch web page at:

Subject: [*] YA-NewsWatcher 4.2.1

Yet Another NewsWatcher 4.2.1 is a Usenet newsreader application for
Macintosh. It features binary posting; styled text, image, and movie
viewing; flexible article filtering and sorting; background and possibly
deferred message sending and downloading of text and binary posts; and
multiple character set support. Yet Another NewsWatcher 4.2.1 is free. It
requires System 8.5 or later.

Apart from the usual bug fixes, this version replaces the old, modal Filter
Groups dialog with a new non-modal Filters List window. The new window
allows all filters to be shown at once, or it's possible to display only
selected filters using the same kind of "live filtering" available for
subject and full group windows. It's also now possible to make batch
changes on selected filters to change their label, expiration, etc.

Note to archivists: YA-NewsWatcher 4.2.1 replaces the earlier 4.x
versions of YA-NewsWatcher. It does NOT replace the 3.x versions which are
still published for people using older system software.
