Subject: [*] 8-Ball v9.2 shareware submission

This Mac application puts a pool table on your screen and lets you shoot
the balls down the holes. 8-Ball Emulator has the best action you will
find in a pool
table program.

You can set the table size and ball size as you wish, and adjust speed and
friction. The Aim Assist feature shows you which direction and how far the
cue ball
will go when you shoot. A Shot Status window shows who's turn it is,
whether they've made a legal shot, etc., according to rules for either
8-Ball or 9-Ball.

Version 9.2 fixes a shot status bug, tunes up side pocket action, fixes a
key code entry problem, and puts the shot status info in the main window,
among other
things. Now you can play with a larger window. Registered users of
versions 7 and later will not need to reregister.

The Registration dialog gives more information on how to register.
Registered users of versions 7 thru 9.1 will not need to reregister.

You can use Stuffit Expander to install the copy you download. Email
scottknudsen@compuserve.com for any questions.

Good luck!!

Subject: [*] Abstract of Desktop Resetter 2.1

Requirements
Any Mac (yes 68k too!) running Mac OS 7.1 or higher. This program is Mac OS
8.0, 8.6, and 9.0 savvy!

What's New in 2.1?
There are dozens of new features in 2.1, but most importantly, it fixes a
bug in which the icons in OS 9 wouldn't be reset, and it now works on 68k
Macs. I hacked the program down a bit to make it much less confusing, yet
there is even more functionality!

Desktop Resetter now supports sets! You can store multiple desktops. The
program will now reopen windows that were closed as well. You can remember a
desktop and should anything happen (even if a window closes), just reset the
desktop and all will be back in business.

A bug where icons with diacritical marks wouldn't be reset has been fixed.

Desktop Resetter now stores all of its desktop settings files in its own
folder. Please keep the program in its folder and just make aliases if you
wish to move it to the desktop or the apple menu. If you don't, it will
recreate a new settings folder.

Desktop Resetter now supports windows and popup windows! It has a sleek new
interface and works faster than before. To see the full list of features, be
sure to check the Help section.

What is Desktop Resetter?
Desktop Resetter is a simple program used to remember the icon and window
locations and sizes on the desktop. This information can be recalled at a
later time.

This is good if you play games or change resolutions frequently. It is also
useful since some programs tend to either change resolution or somehow cause
things on the desktop to scatter randomly. Crashing can also cause desktop
items to do this.

Now you won't have to withstand this unfortunate and annoying problem.
Simply layout the desktop how you like it and 'Remember' the desktop's
current setup.

Should it get screwed up one way or another, just launch Desktop Resetter
and 'Reset' the layout. In an instant, the windows and their sizes will snap
back to the way they were, as will the icons. If a window was inadvertently
closed, it will be reopened.

Subject: [*] Air Traffic Controller ATC v3.0

Take control of the airways around the major UK international airports
and direct planes into and out of conjested airspace. This simulator is
built upon the actual UK air corridors and the pressure mounts as the
time ticks by with more and more planes appearing in your sector.
Routing information is provided for all flights using actual waypoints.

Version 3 includes 2 major improvements - stacks and pilot messages.
Inbound aircraft can now be directed to stacks near the airports when the
sky is getting congested. The planes circle the stack until you are
ready to bring them on the final approach. The pilot messages help in
identifying those planes passing the waypoints and hence that need
directing to the next waypoint on their required route.

Chocoletters is a puzzle game. You have to find how the computer mixed
up 36 letters and figures in a 6 by 6 grid. To succeed you may ask for
paths leading from one letter to another. With several paths you can
deduce the positions of the letters. The score depends on the number of
paths and the time spent to finish.
You can see examples at:
http://perso.club-internet.fr/pierre07/pages/chocopage.htm

Chocoletters should run on all of the 68020 System 7 + Quicktime
Macintoshes and later with a 640x480 color screen or more.

What's new in version 1.5.2 ?
- Music. There are 4 pieces of music included and you can hear your own
music. Just put your Midi files and mp3 files (up to 10) in the
Chocoletters folder (even in a subFolder).
You need Quicktime 3.0 with QT Instruments to hear good Midi sounds and
Quicktime 4.0 to hear mp3 files.
- A new harder level with Auto Paths created at random
- Major changes in the way the scores are calculated. Less disappointing
for beginners.
Sorry. You wasted your time and effort to gain creditable scores that
are to be thrown out!
- A new score board
- A new background
- and some other minor changes.

Chocoletters is a $10 US shareware. Payments handled by Kagi.

CLex is a multilingual dictionary/spelling check engine for Macintosh.
With CLex you can lookup a word from within any application by pressing
Command-ENTER or click at a button of the floating window. The spelling
can be checked as you type. That is, you have a single spelling check
program no matter you are writing in a word processor or chatting
on-line. The floating window is accessible everywhere and lets you turn
on/off auto-spelling check and have access to a notebook. You can have
more than one spelling dictionaries installed and can arrage the order
of them by drag & drop within the list of installed dictionaries. You
may also turn on or off a particular dictionary by setting up a
spell-check configuration. This is useful if you have to write (or chat)
in different language or in different context. A statistical
pre-processing can be introduced to 'guess' a most propabable dictionary
against which the word should be checked. CLex also supports the basic
commands of network dictionary protocal DICT (RFC 2229), so you have
access to many freely available dictionaries on the Internet as well.

This is the Japanese version of the CopyPaste package.

CopyPaste is the shareware utility that was awarded a 5
mouse rating by MacUser and was their shareware utility of
the year 1996. Shareware Junkies declared it Mac Product
of the year for 1997. CopyPaste also appeared in the June 97
Wired and has been featured in MacWeek, TidBits, MacAddict and
many other magazines. CopyPaste magnifies the clipboard in many
different ways and has been declared indespensible by web developers,
editors, writers, dtp professionals and everyone who uses
the clipboard.

One of the early wonders of the Mac was its revolutionary ability to do
copy and paste across various applications. Unlike other areas in the Mac's
system software that have changed and progressed over the years, copying
and pasting has not evolved. How many times have you found yourself going
back and forth copying in one application and pasting in a different
application, wishing to yourself that you could copy 5-10 items at a time,
then go to another application and paste each of these items. Now you can
do not only this but view all 100 clipboards, save useful text and pictures
thru restarts and much much more.

**MacOS 9 compatible!
**Many advanced features but easy for beginners!
**Full Drag Drop compatibility!
**Use up to 100 independent clipboards by menu or simple key commands!
**View and access all the clipboard using the CopyPaste Palette!
**Append text to 1 of 10 files on disk at any time!
**Process text, picture and net data on the Clipboards in many ways!
**Use a command key to switch and/or view all applications!
**Works great with iType, iSearch, iCount and iView Multimedia!
**New pop-up palette function and more!
**Clip Recorder - remembers the last 10 items copied via
command c.
**Clip Archive - copied data is appended to one of 10 text
files on disk.
**Save Clipboards thru Restarts - allows all 100 Clipboards
to be saved thru Shutdown or Restart.

CopyPaste eliminates tedious repetitive work and increases
your ability to get the job done.

Subject: [*] CuliDataBase

CuliDataBase 5.2.3 (PPC)

What it is: Recipe management tool for food lovers
Author: Ton Brand
License: shareware
Computer: PowerPC
Mac OS: 7.5 or later
Abstract:
CuliDataBase is a user-friendly application for managing culinary recipes.
There is a PPC and a 68K version; with this you have the PPC version.
The software of version 5.x has been completely rewritten because the first
CuliDataBase stems from 1995. CuliDataBase now supports Apple Guide and
QuickTime 3.0ü.
Version 5.2 has a much faster Find function without unnecessary repeat hits
in one and the same recipe.
Version 5.2.1 fixes an error that appeared after canceling a new recipe.
Version 5.2.2 corrects the Kagi URL when using the Internet Menu for
registering.
Version 5.2.3 fixes a bug that rarely occurred (only when you imported a
recipe that does not meet the layout rules). Further some outline fonts have
been replaced by bold ones.
The newest feature of CuliDataBase 5.x is that you have 9 sub-indexes which
you can rename to suit your culinary requirements, plus a separate index for
your favorite dishes. New is also that you can compose new recipes in
CuliDataBase itself and that you have a Font menu available.
However, you can still prepare a recipe in your word processor and import it.
Of course, you can also import all recipes and culinary terms from your
previous CuliDataBase.
A simple click with the mouse lets you put ingredients on a shopping list.
Recipes can be scaled up or down according to number of servings, while the
singular or plural form of the ingredients' names is taken care of as well,
so '1 bay leaf ' will become '2 bay leaves' or vice versa. This works in
English, French and Dutch.
To illustrate your recipes, you can import pictures of dishes.
Finally, you've got a list with culinary terms that you can extend yourself,
and an Internet menu that you can modify to go to your favorite sites.

Cut/Offs for Kaleidoscope 2.1 and up is a silver and blue textured scheme
where at least every other corner has been cut off or rounded in one way or
another. It works best at a monitor depth of thousands of colors or more.
The sides and bottoms of the windows, utility windows, dialogues and alerts
are a little fatter than standard ones, making them appear more rounded.
Cut/Offs uses custom colors, shading (integrated into the bottom and right
sides keeping them the same width as the left) and textured patterns for a
unique appearance. This version features several minor improvements.

Subject: [*] CypherCard1.0a.sit.hqx

Cyphercard is a simple but effective tool (a
Hypercard stack) for encoding and decoding text
documents. It uses no complex math, but simply
encodes one document (the target) by using a second
document as a reference document or a 'one time
scratch pad', as they call it in the cypher biz.
Cyphercard does not just use simple pointers into the
reference document, but modulates those pointers
using offsets which are also taken from that
document. It uses various other encoding techniques
as well.

None of this is complicated or tricky. It doesn't
need to be. The security of the code is not
compromised at all by knowing exactly how it was
coded. All the security comes from the fact that the
code depends on the reference document and the
password. The upshot is that anyone who knows which
reference document and password to use can decode any
document that was encoded with that reference
document and password. Anyone who does not know that
document and password will not be able to decode the
target document.

Cyphercard requires a PowerPC Macintosh and Hypercard 2.4.

Subject: [*] Flip! 1.0 - a challenging puzzle game for all ages

Flip! is a game of skill, a game of strategy, and a game of luck. The idea
is simple. Play takes place on a 3x3, 5x5 or 7x7 grid. In each position is
a double-sided tile. One side of each tile is light in colour, the other
side is dark. The tiles start out randomly turned to one side or the other.
The object of the game is to get a particular pattern of dark and light
coloured tiles on the grid. A tile that is flipped will flip some (or all)
of its surrounding tiles. In the 5x5 and 7x7 game, the tiles that are
flipped are always the 8 surrounding tiles. In the 3x3 game, the additional
tiles that will be flipped vary depending on the location of the tile.

Features
--------
3 levels of difficulty, with 10 patterns for each level. Unlimited Undo and
Redo of all moves. A choice of graphics for the tiles in the game window.
High Scores; the Best Time and Best Flip Count is recorded for each
pattern, along with the name of the person who got them. Sound effects
(optional, of course!)

The Book of Changes 3.2

This program is a version of the I Ching. For centuries, the I Ching has
been used both as an oracle to predict the future, and as a source of
deep wisdom. The querent asks a question, then drops three coins six
times. Each drop determines one line of a hexagram, whether is solid or
broken, moving or unmoving. The resulting six-lined figure is then
interpreted.

Even if you have no interest in divination, the I Ching can offer
valuable insight into your own psyche, shedding light on how you really
feel about a problem.

New in version 3.2
--remade graphics for smaller file size
	--new, smaller "About" window
New in version 3.1.3
