Subject: [*] AliasCrony 2.1.1; Alias management.

AliasCrony is the ultimate alias manager. It has several features:
- Since aliases of applications lose the capability to have files dropped
on, when the original is on a different volume, AliasCrony can create
SuperAlias, a new alias kind, having drag capability always active.
- It can create aliases or SuperAliases and put them into specific
predefined folders, when you're using the Drag&Drop mode. From its menus,
instead, you can select the destination folders by using a speedy way.
- It can update aliases (also as SuperAliases) on the fly or else through
its menus.
- It can add, to aliases, some useful custom icon, freeing a bit of space
on desktop (as before: you can add the custom icon on the fly or else by
using the proper menu).
-You may configure any action of above through preferences and change them
with one keystroke before creating aliases or SuperAliases .
- It can scan all on-line volumes to create lists of:
		a) attached aliases,
		b) unattached aliases,
		c) aliases and originals on different volumes.
-It can scan also individual folders-disks.
The created lists return useful infos about the aliases found, moreover,
from these lists, AliasCrony can do several actions:
 a) retrieves and shows aliases and originals.
 b) links/updates/deletes/moves aliases.
 c) shows the Finder's Info window, about aliases and originals.
 d) updates aliases of applications to SuperAliases.
 e) trashs the whole aliases list.

AliasCrony is Internet Config aware, Appearance Savvy and requires at least
System Seven to run.

New since version 2.1.0
Removed a bug causing, sometimes on 68K, the unexpected closing of
AliasCrony. Replaced, on 68k code, SpinCursor with WatchCursor to avoid
trouble with the most recent development libraries for 68k, who support
badly this feature. Better support of Appearance Manager in ModalDialog
filters. New trial time term. Adresses update. Minor changes.

track of time while you're working at your computer. Set the timer to
remind you that your laundry will be done in 45 minutes. Use it to give
yourself a coffee break in half an hour. Set it because you just put a pot
of water on the stove and if you forget about it all the water will boil
away and leave that nasty white stuff on the bottom of your pot.

Here's what people are saying about the FM Egg Timer:

"It's extremely practical." -- Sam Douglas
"Oh my God, that's an awesome idea. I need that!" -- Scott Douglas

Subject: [*] Food Chain 1.0

Prepare for a strategy-board game based on the delicate balance of
nature, where cartoon creatures must eat one another in order to survive.
Set in the prehistoric era, these strange creatures make up the food
chain that determines both life and death. You, the player, must control
their every movement using strategy and careful thinking. You're in
charge of these creatures, and must help them avoid the everyday perils
that surround them, such as starvation, drowning, extinction, and
overpopulation. In a world where predator can become prey in an instant,
every move has a consequence, and it's not always a pretty sight.

With a little practice, you'll soon be able to control a whole world of
creatures. You'll learn to maintain harmony by carefully placing new
creatures, and even killing a few off if necessary. The game is filled
with lively animation consisting of over 1500 hand-drawn frames, as well
as special sound effects and hidden features that you'll have fun
discovering as you play.

This trial software allows you to try Food Chain 10 times. You can unlock
the game any time for the super-low price of $9.95. The trial also allows
United States customers to purchase the full CD version for an additional
$5, which includes shipping. And in addition to Food Chain, the CD comes
with over 25 of our favorite shareware games to add to your playing
enjoyment.

HIPPARCHUS 5.2.1a - for 68k MacOS computers is a fully integrated S/W
package for positional astronomy (not just another generic "desk top
planetarium"
program), an astronomical planning, observing, and research tool noted for its
precision, adaptability, flexibility and ease of operation. Prepare annotated
astronomical finder charts, investigate historical syzygal alignments of the
planets, obtain instantaneous topocentric views of the sky, query the stellar
database according to target characteristics and produce formatted reports.
Create custom star charts in Mercator or polar projection of any region of the
sky, at varying scales, in color or Black-and-White. Stellar positions are
rigorously precessed to the equator and equinox of any date, with or without
corrections for stellar proper motions.

Subject: [*] Keep It Up 2.0

Keep It Up version 2.0 (KIU 2.0)

What does it do ?

A. Keep your (server) applications running

Keep It Up (KIU) can relaunch selected applications if for some reason they
stop running (crashes, accidental quits,...) KIU can also restart your Mac
on a regular basis. This reduces the chance of anything going wrong in the
first place. KIU can also be told the keep one (server) application always
in front, which improves the performance of this application.

B. Remote Management

KIU can be used to remotely manage your Macintosh (server) using a
webbrowser. KIU has a tiny "embedded" webserver (running on a port of your
choice) that allows you to remotely:
*  restart/shutdown the Mac
* view, kill or restart running applications
*  launch applications
*  run Applescripts
* get some info about the system (free disk space, uptime, ...)

The web interface approach has several advantages over remote management
solutions such as "Timbuktu Pro": you can manage the Mac from *any*
computer that has a webbrowser installed (Mac, PC, PDA, ...), it's small
and fast, doesn't slow down your Mac and is unlikely to cause conflicts
with other software.

KIU is $22 shareware.

MANIC MINEFIELDS version 1.2, by Addiction Interactive

REQUIREMENTS
Computer: A MacOS compatible computer with a PowerPC processor.
Colors: Thousands (15bits) or millions (24bits).

THE GAME
Manic Minefields is really 10 (!) different minesweeper games in one
program, each with
its own unique set of graphics, sounds, special rules, game plot and
hiscore tables.

In the unregistered version you only get to play 2 of the 10 games, but
that's more than you get in the registered version of any other
minesweeper
game on the market.

You might have played a game called 'MineSweeper' (MicroSoft),
'Landmines' (Atari Corp), or anything else with the word 'sweeper' or
'mine' in it.
Then you probably know how to play, since the rules of those games and

Subject: [*] NewsTicker 1.1 Released

NewsTicker is a utility for displaying the headlines from different web
sites. It puts up a floating windoid where the headlines scroll by.
Double-clicking a headline will open your browser to show the full story.

It can also track web pages, showing when they have changed.

NewsTicker uses a built-in parsing engine, which describes the format of
web pages, and "teaches" NewsTicker which parts of the incoming HTML page
are the headlines.

Since the format of web pages may change, NewsTicker sometimes displays
more information than you might want (or even less than what you expect),
but it's still much better than having to launch your browser every time
you want the news headlines...

Currently, the limit is 32 Tracked Web Sites, and no more than 100
headelines.

Comparing version 1.1 to 1.0.x versions:
- When anchoring the NewsTicker window it retains the left/right
coordinates of the window.
- Fixed some compatibility issues with Mac OS 8.5
- Added the "Circulate Sites" check-box to the Tracked Sites preferences
panel
- The Page Up/Down and Arrow keys now navigate the Tracked Sites list.
- NewsTicker for 68K machines has been added
- Improved Ticker window font ascent/descent/leading issues
- Only one copy of NewsTicker can run on each machine, and NewsTicker
verifies this.
- When in the Tracked Sites panel, the Command+T keyboard combination
toggles the tracking status of the selected site.
- First publication of the NewsTicker Site Format document. Please send
in comments and suggestions as to the style of the document.
- The NewsTicker window shows the Contextual Menu cursor when the control
key is down and the mouse is within the window.
- The NewsTicker contextual menu now provides access to the Preferences
dialog.
- Hot Corner would continue toggling visibility for as long as mouse
remained there - it now doesn't toggle again until the mouse is moved out
and then back in the Hot Corner.
- Fixed a problem in deleting sites from the middle of the Tracked Sites
list.
- Greatly improved the User Experience of the Preferences dialog.
- Added an option to enable the Command-Q combination.
- Added shortcuts to accessing the Internet Config settings which affect
NewsTicker behavior (Preferences -> Internet Config).
- Added a field in the Tracked Site edit dialog (Preferences -> Tracked
Sites List -> Add/Edit) for defining the limit on the number of headers

X-Files Trivia Challenge is a trivia game for fans of "The X-Files."
Featuring more than 200 questions ranging in difficulty from newbie to
expert, X-Files Trivia Challenge is a must-have for any X-Phile.

Version 1.1 adds sounds for audio feedback. For correct answers, you'll
hear a chime; for wrong answers, there's a buzz. This version should
replace the earlier versions.

The game is $10 shareware.

Subject: [*] YAVsRADtools

YAV's RAD Tools adds a suite of nearly 300 powerful commands and functions
for SuperCard development which are just as easy to use as those provided
by the developers of SuperCard.

RAD stands for Rapid Application Development. And with the YAV's RAD Tools
commands and functions in place, most of the tedious programming tasks are
accounted for. Adopting a "why re-invent the wheel" approach, YAV's RAD
Tools take care of most of the things that every SuperCard project
requires: tasks such as document handling, file I/O, printing, window, and
menu management; string, list, and number manipulation, key-trapping,
dialogs and alerts, button and field control. Built-in help is provided.

YAV's RAD Tools also generates pre-configured project frameworks with all
the standard menus and windows working the way they should in advance.
Alternatively, YAV's RAD Tools offers one-click installation into existing
projects.

The downloadable version is fully functional but will not load in a
standalone unless registered ($59).
