DarkLight for Kaleidoscope 2.x is a tri-tone classic grayscale color scheme

with the original Kaleidoscope gold tone used in place of the OS8
green-gold accent. The scheme features custom tabbed pop-up windows with an
apple motif, and the package includes several desktop/window patterns to
match and instructions on how to get more. Latest version adds the new
style popup buttons, plus little arrows, disclosure triangles and menu
grabbers. It also changes the shading on the dialogues and alerts and the

in OS 8.5. Freeware.

Subject: [*] HTML Cleaner

HTML Cleaner is an AppleScript for BBEdit 5.0 designed to perform a few
common HTML chores:

* Based on the presence of a frameset in your document the script will
identify your page either as HTML 4.0 Transitional or HTML 4.0 Frameset.

* It adds an empty alt="" attribute to image tags that don't have an alt
attribute already.

* It gets rid of <tr> heights, since they are not permitted in HTML 4.0
Transitional.

* It will by default get rid of <table> heights, since they are not
permitted in HTML 4.0 Transitional. MSIE still uses them, though. There
is a preference setting, should you choose to keep table heights.

* It will remove a stray "frame" attribute in a table, when no value is
specified for it.

* HTML Cleaner will discontinue the existence of gridx, showgridx,
usegridx, gridy, showgridy, usegridy in your tables.

* It will attempt to place your noframes tags inside your frameset,
which is where they should be.

* The script will take (illegal) spacer tags and replace them with a
dot.gif image. it's up to you to make sure there are dot.gif images in
the referenced places.

* It will remove xpos attributes in a <td> tag.

* In BBEdit 5.0, the script will run the CyberCleaner tool, which gets
rid of (some) excess font tags.

CAUTION! This script works fine for me, but may need some adjustments
for your specific HTML. Please test thoroughly on a COPY of your site.

IconBuilder - Version 2.0 - December 1998

The Iconfactory is proud to announce an all new tool for creating and
constructing 32-bit icons for Mac OS 8.5 - IconBuilder. IconBuilder
combines the power and flexibility of Adobe Photoshop(tm) with the ease
of use of IconDropper to make a powerful icon creation tool for both
beginner and advanced users as well as professional software developers.

Written by veteran Photoshop filter author - Craig Hockenberry,
IconBuilder is the first "real world" solution for creating 32-bit icons
for Mac OS 8.5. Thanks to the use of layers (and their transparent
properties), Photoshop makes an ideal editor to create the blended
shadows, smooth outlines and translucent areas of 8.5 icons. Because it
is a Photoshop plug-in filter, IconBuilder has the ability to translate
any kind of transparent effect done in Photoshop layers, quickly and
easily into the world of 32-bit icons for Mac OS 8.5 and beyond.

"IconBuilder is the best tool a professional icon designer could ever
hope for. No more futzing around in a resource editor, just do all your
work where it's supposed to be done, Photoshop!" - Arlo Rose, co-creator
of Kaleidoscope

Mail Retriever allows you to run a local mail server with multiple
users, even if you have a dialup connection, dynamic IP address, and

schools. Mail Retriever fetches mail on a schedule, and forwards it to
local mail accounts. You can optionally check on the status of Mail
Retriever from any web browser. Mail Retriever can forward mail based
upon either the from or to address, and can also forward mail to an

Subject: [*] McPoet4.6

McPoet is a set of tools for text generation and text morphing: that is,

tools for writing computer-generated and computer-assisted poetry. It
uses its own simple language to allow the text-generation rules to be
completely user-configurable. It is easy to write your own rules for
McPoet even if you know nothing about programming your Mac. You can also

use the large set of built-in rules, or the automatic rule-generating
function
which can turn ordinary text into an executable rule. The text morphing
features
include an automatic version of Tristan Tzara's original Dadaist formula
for
creating poetry from text, an eecummingsfication feature for imitating
the
style of the great poet ee cummings, multiple forms of Markov chaining
(with
several built-in probability tables) and much more. Rule files and the
word-type
files that they reference are stored externally, on disk. As a result,
there are no strong constraints on the number of word types or rules you

can use- McPoet can be massively expanded and fully customized by the
end-user.
Version 4.6 is a maintenance release which includes a small
enhancement
which was requested by a user, a few minor fixes, and improved
documentation.
In tribute to its Dadaist roots, McPoet is uncopyrighted and
free. Both the
application and its output may be freely redistributed in any way. It
requires at
least 4.5 megabytes of free disk space, at least 3 megabytes of
available RAM,
and a fast processor (or great patience!).

What media browser is easiest, fastest, applescriptable,

What program can read all these files Quark, Canvas,

movies, QuickTime VR, animation, and many others?

What media cataloging program allows total newbies and

What shareware has been extolled by digital photographers

What media organizer allows exporting as a QuickTime

What media asset management program can print a catalog

What program does all of the above is a great deal, a
heck of a lot of fun, and can be downloaded right now
from the internet?

Answer  - - -> iView Multimedia!

A very special iView Multimedia user makes these comments.

I've always preferred bits to atoms. But my Mac started
looking like my photo shoebox - stuff everywhere. I don't
need overkill. I simply need an easy-to-use, powerful,

-Onion skin command
-Reduce scale output (useful for web animation)
-Shape rotation

This is the Japanese version of WindowMenu v1.1.2, which seems to
have dropped out of the archive. It was previously archived as

WindowMenu is a utility that exists to let you do one thing: jump
directly to a specific window in an application. Although I have a big
monitor, I often find myself going through all kinds of contortions to
get to a window I know is open but that is buried under a hundred
others. Applications with "Windows" menus help things somewhat, but
you still have to make the trip to the menu bar.

WindowMenu will pop up a menu of all open windows in the current
application and let you select one directly when you click anywhere
while holding down control keys that you choose. It also lets you
define a hotkey to cycle forward and backwards through all open
windows. I use it every day and I think if you give it a try, you may
too.
