Aru =95 Simi is a Hypercard stack containing a vocabulary in five
languages: Aymara and Quechuan, the main Bolivian indian languages,
plus Dutch, Spanish and English. Aru in Aymara and Simi in Quechuan,
both signify "word", hence the name of the stack. The archive
is a Bin-Hexed, Self Expanding app, containing the stack and a
readme file. Both files occupy just 780 Kb. The vocabulary contains
more than 3500 words.

The stack is freeware, if it turns to be useful, I'd like to know.

Subject: [*] Analog Helper 1.0.2 - Graphical Configuration Tool for Analog

Analog Helper is a graphical configuration tool for Analog 3, which is a
free program to analyse the logfiles from your web server. It lets you
control and preview the results of hundreds of settings, and means you
need not touch the complex syntax of Analog's configuration files.

Analog itself tells you which pages are most popular, which countries
people are visiting from, which sites they tried to follow broken links
from, etc... It is the fastest and most flexible such tool available.

Analog Helper also imports your old .cfg files, allows multiple analysis
configurations to be maintained and can automatically create multiple
reports based on specified time periods.

Version 1.0.2 has a couple of minor improvements.

Subject: [*] Clean-Install Assistant 1.1J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the Clean-Install Assistant package.

Clean-Install Assistant 1.1J - Easier System Folder updates & backups.

Clean-Install Assistant makes it easier to migrate third-party and
personal items to a new Clean-Installed System Folder, and it may also be
used to:

Save space and backup your valuable additions and preference files only,
instead of the whole System Folder.

Install the same set of additions on multiple Macs.

Remove extra files and folders from your System Folder to restore it to a
previous state: you can take a Snapshot of the System Folder and have
Clean-Install Assistant extract any items added since.

Version 1.1 adds support for Mac OS 8.5 and allows migrating files from
previous System Folders as well as active ones.
It is free for personal and educational use.

Subject: [*] ClockSync II 1.4.0

ClockSync II 1.4.0 is available!

Author's email address: jbkezer@kagi.com

If you have two or more Macintoshes, you probably notice that the clocks
drift apart as time goes by. This can range from being a minor nuisance to
a problem, especially if you do a lot of synchronizing between the
Macintoshes. ClockSync II synchronizes the clocks between two or more
Macintoshes, by setting the clocks of the "Servant"Macintoshes to that of a
"Master" Macintosh.

ClockSync has two components. The ClockSync Master runs continuously on
the "Master" Macintosh, while the ClockSync Servant can be run on any other
Macintosh on the network to update its time.

All of my utilities can be registered through the Kagi shareware system.

Version 1.4.0 has the following enhancements:

   - Master: Added log window.
   - Master: Added network timeout setting.
   - Master: Added ability to hide main window for a faceless application.

Shareware; $5 for a 3-user license with larger licenses available.

Subject: [*] CopyPaste 4.2.2J - Japanese Version

This is the Japanese version of the CopyPaste package.

MacUser Utility of the Year 1996 and America Online's Mac Utility 1996
Shareware Award Winner and Shareware Junkies Mac Program of the Year 1997

**MacOS 8 compatible!
**Full Drag & Drop compatibility!
**Use up to 100 independent clipboards by menu or simple key commands!
**View and access all the clipboard using the CopyPaste Palette!
**Append text to 1 of 10 files on disk at any time!
**Process text, picture and net data on the Clipboards in many ways!
**Use a command key to switch and/or view all applications!
**New pop-up palette function and more!

One of the early wonders of the Mac was its revolutionary ability to do
copy and paste across various applications. Unlike other areas in the
Mac's
system software that have changed and progressed over the years, copying
and pasting has not evolved. How many times have you found yourself going
back and forth copying in one application and pasting in a different
application, wishing to yourself that you could copy 5-10 items at a
time,
then go to another application and paste each of these items. Now you can
with a vengeance!

NEW FEATURES

$Bi(BVERY IMPORTANT: Whenever you upgrade to a newer version of
CopyPaste, you
should remember to remove any older versions from the Extensions Folder of
your System. Then install the new version and restart.

In Version 4.2.2
$Bi(Bcompiled with the latest Metrowerks Compiler.
$Bi(Bbug fixes:
- works with AliasMenu
- Save Clips thru Restarts works better
- Several other programs had problems with the menus. These problems are
fixed.
$Bi(Bthe "Use Popup Palette" feature can be toggled on and off by a simple
click on the zoom box of the Palette. The special zoomed view of the Palette
was removed to futher reduce complexity of CopyPaste.
$Bi(BA new utilitiy called "Quote..." is added. It allows to quote selected
Text with any character. It recognizes brackets and curly quote characters.

Disk Recall - is a super-fast disk cataloging utility. It creates catalogs
of any
type of disk (floppies, hard drives, CD-ROMs, Zips, Sy-Quests, AppleShare
volumes, etc...). It features an intuitive Finder-like list view for browsing
disk contents, and a powerful multi-criteria search engine modeled after Apple's
Find File utility of System 8. Disk Recall uses a super-fast archiving algorithm
to scan disks 5 to 10 times faster than other Macintosh catalogers. Disk Recall
also lets you search for duplicate files, delete files or folders, scan inside
Stuffit files, open and reveal items in the Finder and more. With the
accompanying DropLog application, you can easily keep your catalogs up to
date by
simply dropping them on DropLog when you want to eject them. Registered users
also get the QuickLog extension which automatically scans any disk at eject
time.
Unlike other -slower- catalogers, users barely notice any delay when ejecting
disks.

Subject: [*] Enigma 2.8

I am pleased to announce the release of Enigma 2.8, an upgrade to my
privacy protecting encryption application.

Version 2.8 allows you to have multiple vaults open at once and drag and
drop files between vaults.

You can also now register via credit card via the Kagi system.

Enigma remains fully compatible with previous releases.

Enigma is an application which can provide strong protection for your
sensitive documents and applications. By downloading this application you
can encrypt files using a limited version of the Government Standard DES
algorithm. For only $20 this can be upgraded to the full DES standard (US
and Canada only).

If you would prefer your neighbors not see your accounting data, your
co-workers not see your performance appraisal, or your competitor see your
trade secrets then Enigma is an application you will find very valuable.

Enigma supports vaults which are like very securely locked file cabinets.
Multiple files are stored in them. Files can be added, deleted, renamed,
and extracted at any time. You can create folders inside the vault to
organize your files better. Entire folders can be extracted or added in
one operation. Security is enhanced because filenames and lengths are
protected by encryption in addition to the contents. No other free or
shareware encryption program offers the flexibility of Enigma vaults.

You can also create self extracting vaults to send to friends and
associates who do not have the Enigma application. Self extracting vaults
are stand alone applications that cannot be opened without the proper key.

Enigma requires system 7.0 or later along with about three megabyte of
memory and 400K of disk space. Documentation enclosed specifies ordering
information for a system 6 or earlier compatible version, but the vault
features are unavailable.

Enigma for Windows 1.0 is also available for download from my web site at
www.thenextwave.com. Enigma for Windows provides true cross-platform
encryption capability between the Macintosh and PC compatibles. It is not
as full featured as the Macintosh version, make sure it meets your needs
before ordering.

 * Internet Helper is a useful application that is basically a suite of
internet tools. It has the basic port scans, service scans, and
fingers. But Internet Helper also has many more advanced features such
as a finger file-on-demand system for distributing text files and an
advanced client/server pair to test programs or interface with other
systems. This program is made as a helper to anyone who does internet
programming or to anyone who sometimes needs to work with the 'net.

System:
* You will need a PPC or 68K Macintosh with atleast 5 megs of ram and an

internet connection of some kind.

Features
 * Client/Server pair:
Internet Helper has a client/server pair so that you may test
internet applications, play with protocols, connect to wingates and SMTP

servers and more. The client/server setup also is very useful for
internet chatting.

 * Service Scan:
This feature lets you scan for various open ports on a server or
internet-connected computer.

 * Port Scan:
This feature lets you scan for a certain port number among many IP
addresses.

 * Finger and Finger File-On-Demand:
This useful new feature lets you turn your computer into a file
server. Users anywhere in the world can finger your computer with a
keyword to receive files and information. As far as I know, this is the

first Mac finger file server anywhere.

Subject: [*] MacHead LARGE for IE 1.8

MacHeads Bookmarks for IE version 1.8 was released because the two
browsers, Netscape/Communicator and Internet Explorer have stopped
importing each others bookmarks.

This is the IE version and there are approximately 1500+ Apple and Apple
related sites included here. Also included (but not in the 1500 count) is
the standard IE Favorites list. If you have these already, simply delete
those folders after importing.

As painful as it may be to admit, the IE browser is a superior product (for
my application of building in Claris Homepage to the Internet.) and I'll
quickly tell you why. IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME FROM BUILDING THE WEB PAGE
IN CHP TO ITS DESTINATION,THE INTERNET! Netscape for some reason makes
changes in fonts, from plain to bold, and color changes on borders etc.
Now unless there is something in the CHP's pref.'s that I don't fully
understand, IE is clearly superior, and that's with CHP 3.0, Communicator
4.5, against IE 4.0.1. Enough about that...........

You may think IE has all the Mac sites you will need....... Ain't even
close! What I will agree with, if you prefer the folders and names that
come with IE, keep those folders you like but transfer the MacHead
bookmarks into them and discard the MH folders.

.Just about every Apple site and most of the major Apple friendly=92s
(MacWorld, C/Net, MacWEEK, etc.) sites are here. There=92s a =93must be seen=
 to
be believed=94 tech companies listing. Just about every category of Internet
surfing ALA Macintosh is in here.

Subject: [*] Macintosh Application Development Essentials 1.2

MADE is a tiny package of C/C++ code which provides all the lowest-level
needs for a Macintosh application. It is designed for people who are
learning, or know how to program Macs, but don't have the time, energy or
desire to write basic menu, event, memory and error handling routines.

The basic MADE package includes very few routines since every application
needs a different subset. As a result, MADE is extremely small, fast to
compile, and easy to understand.

However, when you purchase MADE, you will receive extra code for dealing
with memory and file buffers, dialog boxes, strings and opening URLs. You
can use the functions that you require without incurring a significant
code
overhead.

Despite its small size, MADE includes several features specifically
designed
to help the development process. It also helps with AppleEvents, the Drag
Manager and modeless dialog boxes.

File Name: rambunctious1.3.1j.sit.hqx

This is the Japanese version of the ramBunctious package.

amBunctious 1.3.1 is a shareware RAM disk program for the Mac OS.
Its rich set of features lets you customize your RAM disks for your
desired balance of speed, security, safety, and versatility.

- You can have several RAM disks mounted simultaneously, limited only
  by memory available.
- ramBunctious has a "write-through" option. When activated, everything
written to the RAM disk is saved to a (real) file. This means that
the next time you mount the RAM disk, all the contents are still
there. This helps protect against data loss in the event of a crash
  or power failure.
- ramBunctious uses normal application memory. This means that when
you're done using a RAM disk, that memory is available for other
applications to use. In other words, you don't have to reboot to
  reclaim the memory.
- Each RAM disk may be configured to be mounted automatically during
  the computer's startup process.
- These options, and more, are fully user-configurable for each RAM
disk via a status/settings window. In addition to the settings, the
status window includes LED-like access indicators that flash when the
RAM disk is being read from or written to.
- ramBunctious is fully AppleScriptable.

What is new in ramBunctious 1.3.1?

- Minor bug fixes
- Appearance overhaul

UHS for MacOS=81 4.0 is the premiere Universal Hint System reader for the
Macintosh. The Universal Hint System provides step-by-step solutions to
puzzle-based games, like graphic adventures and role-playing games. Hints
are revealed only as you need them, beginning with subtle clues and ending
with the complete solution. UHS for MacOS 4.0 gives you access to all of
the hint files on the UHS web site (http://www.uhs-hints.com), including
over 100 files for Macintosh games!

=46eatures:
---------
- Support for PowerPC and 68K.
- Hints for over 100 Macintosh games.
- Support for all UHS formats.
- Support for embedded images (requires QuickTime=81 3.0).
- Easy conversion of UHS files to Game Doctor prescriptions.
- Comprehensive online help and help balloons.
- Commercial look-and-feel at a shareware price.

Where Can I Get UHS Files?
--------------------------
UHS files are available at several locations on the Internet, but the best
place to get them is from the offical UHS website at
<http://www.uhs-hints.com>. Check this site often for the newest files and
UHS-related news.

Since most of the UHS files you download will be in ".zip" format, you will
need a utility to "unzip" them. We recommend a shareware utility like
PKZip, or a commercial utility like Stuffit Deluxe.

Warning: Some utilities provide the option to strip non-Macintosh
characters from text files if they originate from a different platform.
Since UHS for MacOS uses UHS files in their original format, you must
disable this feature or the file will be damaged. For example, before you
use Stuffit Deluxe to unzip a UHS file, open the Stuffit preferences and
set the "Convert files to Macintosh format" option to "Never".

Subject: [*] Ultimate Blackjack v2.1

Ultimate Blackjack is designed to provide the feel of a gambling casino
with realistic card dealing at a table with six players whose chips move
across the table when hands are won or lost. The user can learn to play
Blackjack better, by having a hint window displayed if an incorrect play
is made, or having the program deal only specific types of hands, like
pairs or soft hands, so these can be practiced directly. Card counting
can also be practiced.

Going beyond the standard casino games, Ultimate Blackjack can show how
much money a particular strategy will win (or lose) in Las Vegas, and
even draws a histogram showing the distribution of outcomes. The
statistical package tracks the payoff on each card combination to
understand the best play. You can even experiment with two artificial
intelligence routines, the genetic algorithm and learning agents, to see
if a computer can learn to play Blackjack. Good Luck!

Ultimate Blackjack is shareware with a fee of $10 and includes a 46 page
manual. Version 2.1 allows a larger game window to be displayed to match
the monitor size. Also, the wagering techniques available for simulating
now include card counting and hot streaks. In addition, more variations

File Name: urlmanagerpro2.5j.sit.hqx

This is the Japanese version of the URL Manager Pro package.

URL Manager Pro (tm), is an Apple Macintosh program for managing Uniform
Resource Locators (URLs), the universal address format of the Internet.
URL Manager is a full-featured, standalone Macintosh application that
allows users to create a single, highly flexible repository for
maintaining URLs. In particular, URL Manager offers tight integration
with Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Claris Emailer and
Eudora for effortless management of Internet addresses.

URL Manager Pro 2.0 is Mac OS 8-savvy. It features the new Appearance
Look and Feel, Contextual Menus and works with Apple's Internet Address
Detectors.

URL Manager Pro has garnered many glowing accolades in the Macintosh
press, including TidBits and MacMagazin, and featured in Guy Kawasaki's
keynote at the MacWorld Expo in Boston.

"URL Manager is fast, slick, and easy." says Adam C. Engst, Tidbits.

What's New in version 2.5:

*Added Printing support. Color is also supported.
*A big improvement in the Shared Menus feature of URL Manager Pro.
*It is now very easy to show all your bookmarks in the menu bar of your
browser. In the Shared Menus Preferences Panel you can enable the option "
Share Whole Document". Menu items for all bookmarks are now created in your
web browser. A custom menu with the name of the URL Manager document is
added to your web browser's menubar and contains all your bookmarks.
Optionally, you can display this menu as an Icon Menu. Furthermore, because
you can set the menu font to a smaller font than the system font (which is
either Chicago or Charcoal) you can display a lot more bookmarks than before
.
*Support for Sherlock. When Sherlock finds URL Manager documents containing
your query, choose "Open Item" or Command-O from Sherlock's File Menu and
URL Manager will open the document and then select the first bookmark that
matches the query. Type Command-G (Find Again) to find the next bookmark.
*Support for Navigation Services.
*Dragging a bookmark to the Finder Desktop creates an Internet Location File
.
*URL Manager Pro's Preferences Window has been redesigned. Mac OS 8.
*Download a Web Site and Edit in BBEdit via integration with Anarchie Pro.
*URL Manager Pro supports "Smart Scrolling". To see it, enable "Smart
Scrolling" in the Appearance Control Panel.
*URL Manager Pro uses the Appearance 'Views Font' to draw its bookmarks*.
*Automatically sort folder contents. Each folder has a 'sort' attribute.

Here is the new version of the 'Verbs & Nouns' application - 2.2.8

'Verbs & Nouns' is an application for practising inflection, translation
and pronunciation at the level of single words. Features include the
opportunity to do inflection exercises, and translation exercises in
both directions; to record and play sound for single words; and to do
exercises based on sound or pictures.

The program keeps a record of exercises, and identifies the words that
the student has difficulty with. Along with the program, you need a
module for the target language concerned. The program can also be used
as an authoring tool to write your own modules of inflected words for
any language. A built-in 'inflection-generator' simplifies the addition

Subject: [*] Word List Maker 2.0.5 - text conversion utility

Here is a new improved version of Word List Maker - 2.0.5.

Word List Maker is a powerful and easy-to-use program, for generating
sorted word-lists of several kinds from one or more text files. It can
generate word-frequency lists, present the words in the reverse order of
letters, indicate the number of letters contained in each word, or sort
letters. The spell-checker function is also available.

You can use it to make anagrams, word-frequency lists, various indexes,
spelling lists, to analyze words by their endings etc.

Subject: [*] XLaunch14.sit -- application launcher

X-Launch is a small freeware launcher written to extend the basic Apple
Launcher idea. Its main advantages over Launcher are: occupies less desktop
space, more customizable preferences, ability to reorder buttons, ability
to navigate folder contents via contextual menu, and ability to bring the
X-Launch window to the front via a hot corner. Its main disadvantages are:
truncated icon names (and no icon names in small icon mode), inability to
resize the window, limited number of icons (20), and inability to create
"sub-launchers" and categories via the bulleted-folder trick.

Subject: [*] YA-Decoder 2.4.1

Yet Another Decoder 2.4.1 is a simple droplet designed to decode MIME
Base64 (including AppleSingle and AppleDouble), BinHex, MacBinary
(including MacBinary III), and uuencoded files that are dropped upon it.
This is intended as a helper application for decoding usenet binary
attachments. It is not a general purpose decoder. However, it does handle
most usenet binaries fairly well, and it can deal with multiple attached
files. Yet Another Decoder 2.4.1 is shareware with a registration fee of
$15. It requires System 7 or later.
