Subject: [*] Austrian Keyboard Patch 1.1 for German MacOS 8.5.x

This little patch corrects the problem that pressing the apostrophe key
on the keyboard ['] produces an accent circonflexe [^] if the Austrian
keyboard layout is selected on the German version of Mac OS 8.5 and 8.5.1.

Please read the ReadMe file before applying the patch.

This file is not to be confused with the "Austrian Patch for Mac OS 8.5",
which does a completely different thing.

Subject: [*] PandoCalendar - Customizable desktop calendar for your Mac.

PandoCalendar is a freeware Macintosh application that places a small
customizable calendar on your desktop. The calendar may be customized by
changing the frame, background color, text color, font, and font size.
You can also attach notes to specific days for past or future events, and
have PandoCalendar automatically plot the days you work. Great for people
who don't have a Monday-Friday work schedule!

Version 4.2 - Added the ability to specify a note's label, which consists
of both a name and circle color. Added an option to display the daily
entry from the devotional Faith's Checkbook. Fixed a bug with Partial
Months not correctly displaying the last part of February during leap
years. The calendar is now reset to the default position on startup, if
it is not on the visible screen.

Subject: [*] Andy's Pay Calculator 0.2

This program provides an easy way to figure out how much you have made
over the course of your employment in a particular job. It also takes
shift differential into account. Shift differential is the policy of
paying workers an extra amount per hour after a certain time of day. For
example, as incentive to work after 5 p.m., my job pays me an	extra $0.32
per hour. Not much, but it helps. I wrote Andy's Pay Calculator in a few
minutes, and it has all the functionality I need. Version 0.2 adds the
option to make up to ten separate calculations. I did this	by adding a
"while ()" loop.

This program was written in C++ and compiled for PowerPC. If *anyone*
asks, I will	compile a 68k version. It was my first project, so I'm sorry
that I slighted all	680x0 users. Give me a break- there are 2.2 million G3
users out there alone. Andy's Pay Calculator is e-mailware; I retain
rights to the code, but you are free to use it in your own program,
provided you quote me. This program is absolutely free. If included in a
CD-ROM or other compilation, I require a copy of the disc or archive. Use
it well and distribute it freely, provided that all four of the files in
the archive remain unaltered.

"Cheesy Group" Email Replacement Sound

Announce the arrival of new email with the "Cheesy Group" email sound.
This is a high fidelity recording of a group of cheerful people exclaiming
"You Have New Mail!" in unison, reminiscent of the old radio announcement
blurbs of the fifties.

The sound can easily be used as an email notification sound by assigning it
through most email programs' preferences to be played at the arrival of new
mail. Other programs that don't have the option of assigning sounds can
still utilize this sound with the help of "Agent Audio," available for
download at Clixsounds' web site.

Cuzco Regular =A9 1999 by Michael Schrauzer

A shareware font based upon the calligraphy found in the 16th Century
Chronicle of Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala which describes the customs of
the Incas. The original writing is rather crude and definitely quirky:
note in particular the reversed "N". Think of it as 16th Century grunge.

The shareware fee is US $5.00. As an incentive to pay, those who do send
the fee and include their e-mail address will the receive the very
useful companion Cuzco Small Caps font and some eps ornaments.

Kindly send the fee in US dollars to:

 2) groups of different objects by using specified applications,
 3) specified kind of objects by using alternative applications,
 4) specified kind of objects by using Internet Config's Post Process setting.

The first option works by means of keystrokes, the second through
dragging+keystrokes, the remaining by simple dragging. Naturally you may
also work from within DocJet, by using buttons.
You may create a data base containing all entries you need then remove all
aliases from desktop, leaving DocJet alone: it may supersede all af them!

DocJet is Internet Config, Drag Manager and Navigation Manager aware,

MacCRO is a simple, easy-to-use audio frequency oscilloscope and spectrum
analyser for the Macintosh. It suffers from the limitations of the
Macintosh's sound input port - it works at audio frequencies only - but it
has a major advantage over a "real" oscilloscope: low cost. While a
typical, cheap 20MHz scope may cost a few hundred dollars, MacCRO is only
$20 shareware, or $10 for students and schools.

System Requirements
    * A PowerPC
    * About 2MB of free RAM
    * About 1MB of free hard disk space
    * QuickTime. If you don't have it, you can get it from
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.
    * Navigation Services and the Appearance Manager will be used, if they
are available (Mac OS 8 is required for proper support of Kaleidoscope
schemes).

Subject: [*] MacTicker 1.0.3 -- Put the stock market on your desktop

MacTicker is a specialized Internet browser that lets you view the free
stock market information provided online by financial websites around
the world. You can watch any number of your stocks roll by on the
ticker, or call up a detailed report for each of your favorites.

MacTicker updates this information once a minute right on your desktop.
You can configure it to alert you to stocks that are doing particularly
well, or warn you to sell that stinker.

MacTicker's stock ticker is a dynamic display of the status of the
stocks in your personal portfolio, but MacTicker can also display
detailed information on individual stocks that is updated along with the
information on the ticker, from a comprehensive stock report to a tiny
display that you can stick in the corner of your desktop and watch in
the background.

To run MacTicker 1.0.3 you need the following things:

-- A PowerPC-based Macintosh computer

   Visit <http://www.galleon.com/macticker> for a 68K version.

-- MacOS 7.5 or later.

-- 4 MB of application RAM

-- An IP connection to the Internet

For more information, read the documentation included in the MacTicker
archive, or visit our website at <http://www.galleon.com/macticker>

Galleon Software

  -----

Changes since version 1.0.2

The sources from which MacTicker gathers its information typically offer
two levels of details in their stock reports: detailed quotes return all
the data available for a particular stock, while "quick" quotes return
only the data that is likely to change throughout the day.

Whenever you start MacTicker, it requests detailed quotes from each of
its sources. Regular updates throughout the day request only quick
quotes. The update button on the large stock report, however, requests a
detailed quote for that stock and updates all fields on the report.

Subject: [*] NavCom Cache Control 1.1.1

NavCom Cache Control is a shareware, PowerPC application that allows you
to activate and adjust the memory cache on your Netscape 4.x Web browser
(Navigator or Communicator). By using memory for your browser's cache,
instead of your hard drive, Web browsing can become quicker, more
responsive, and more enjoyable.

NavCom Cache Control requires a PowerPC Macintosh. It uses the Appearance
Manager, so it will run without any additional software on OS 8 or later.
To run on Systems earlier than 8, you may need the Appearance extension,
which is available from Apple. Details about this can be found in the
documentation accompanying NavCom Cache Control.

NavCom Cache Control is buckware. You can register it by mailing a buck
(US $1.00) to the author. If you want to register by credit card or with
foreign currency, you can register N3C using Kagi. Due to the increased
costs of processing payments that way, the registration fee for users of
Kagi is US $3.00.

Complete information on NavCom Cache Control can be obtained from the Day

*Rated at 5 Cows (highest rating) from Tucows: http://www.tucows.com/
**Check out MacUpdate's review of StuffCM at
http://www.macupdate.com/reviews/adam/stuffcm.html: "StuffCM is such a
sublime addition to the Mac OS, it's a wonder that it's not built in."

StuffCM is a contextual menu plugin that works with Aladdin Systems' StuffIt
Engine. It can stuff, unstuff, convert, BinHex, segment and join files
directly in the Finder through the contextual menu commands.

The StuffCM package also includes a control panel with lots of settings to
play with, plus the option to assign modifier keys to toggle those settings
on the fly. And it's 100% Appearance Manager savvy! Plus it supports
contextual menus - something many of Apple's own control panels don't!

Version 2.1.2J features the following improvements:

*You can now choose between StuffIt 4 and 5 when Stuffing files (provided
you have both versions of the StuffIt Engine).
*The Continue Expanding option works properly now.
*The StuffCM control panel will run correctly under Mac OS 8.0 and 8.1.
*Fixed the text field for entering segment sizes.
