Subject: [*] AccountsAuditor 1.0b3 (68K)

AccountsAuditor is a free utility for helping maintain the integrity of
Quicken data files. It was developed under System 7.5.5 and System 8.6.
As far as I know, the program should run under System 7.0 or later. It
requires at least 6000K of free memory; processing a large Quicken file can
require two or three times that amount. It has been tested with Quicken 7
and Quicken 98, but should work with other versions.

This version of AccountsAuditor fixes a bug that sometimes caused the
program to show incorrect data or to quit when two reports were open at
once. It also fixes a bug that sometimes caused the program to report that
a transaction's class had changed from blank to blank. Other minor changes
are described in the Readme file.

This program may be included on the Info-Mac CD-ROM.

Subject: [*] Audiocorder 1.9.0

File uploaded:
Audiocorder.sea.hqx

Abstract:

Audiocorder is a program which allows your Mac to act as volume operated
(VOX) audio recorder. It allows you to set the volume that the sound must
reach to begin recording, and the volume at which it should end recording.
It also allows you to set the trigger length for the start and stop values,
which helps you to eliminate recording short bursts of sound or ending the
recording process during a short pause (such as in normal speach). It may
also be used as a normal manually operated recorder. In addition, it can
play AIFF sound files, including those created with other sound programs.

Each sound file is stored in AIFF format, a Macintosh standard sound
format. The audio is sampled at 11, 22 or 44 kHz, with a sample size of 8
or 16 bits, either monophonic or stereo. The name of each file contains the
date and time (down to seconds) the recording began.

Audiocorder is used in a wide variety of applications, including digitizing
LPs and tapes, recording animals and other natural sounds, and automated
recording of radio transmissions.

Audiocorder is native for both 68K and PPC systems.

Subject: [*] Default Folder N-3.0.5 - Dutch Open/Save dialog enhancement

This is the latest version of Default Folder, localized for
Dutch-speaking users. Default Folder N-3.0.5 should replace any
previous Dutch-language versions of Default Folder in the archives.

Default Folder is a Mac OS 9 savvy control panel that enhances Open
and Save dialog boxes to make it easier for you to manage files on
your Macintosh. It provides many of the essential features of
commercial utilities like SuperBoomerang, Action Files, and Directory
Assistance, but without the infrequently used extras that take their
toll in compatibility, memory, and CPU usage.

In addition, Default Folder fully supports the Navigation Services
Open and Save dialogs introduced in Mac OS 8.5, allowing you to
access your recently used and favorite folders everywhere.

Default Folder's time-saving Open and Save dialog enhancements allow you to:

- Set up a default folder for any or all applications.
- Switch among recently used folders from a pop-up menu.
- Easily navigate to your favorite folders.
- Share common sets of recent and favorite folders between all Open and
Save dialogs, including Navigation Services dialogs.
- Click on a Finder window to list its contents in an Open or Save dialog.
- See available disk space and switch between disks from a pop-up menu.
- Open the folder shown in an Open or Save dialog in the Finder.
- Create folders, get information (including changing name, type, and
creator), and move items to the Trash from within file dialogs.
- "Rebound" back to the last file you used.
- Make "Replace" the default option instead of "Cancel" when saving a
file with the same name as an existing file.

Default Folder will operate on any Macintosh running System 7 or
higher, including Mac OS 9, and is $25 shareware. A complete
description, details, and screen snapshots can be found at:

	<http://www.stclairsoft.com/DefaultFolder/index.html>

Version 3.0.5 includes the compatibility fixes for Mac OS 9 and MRJ
2.2, additional control of Default Folder's command keys, and
numerous minor corrections and enhancements. For a complete change
history, see:

Subject: [*] DragThing 2.8 upload

Enclosed is a copy of DragThing 2.8, to update Info-Mac with the
latest version. This multiple-language installer should replace all the
existing English, French, Italian and Japanese versions of DragThing 2.7
on Info-Mac.

DragThing is an application dock designed to tidy up the icons littering
your desktop. Simply drag an application from the Finder onto an empty
square in a dock and then drag documents onto it as normal. In addition,
the docks can contain files, folders, disks, servers and URLs, and there
is also an option to display the currently running processes in a
special dock.

Version 2.8 adds multiple language support, including 'plug-ins' for
English, French, Italian and Japanese, as well as the ability to show
docks only within certain applications, and more.

DragThing is shareware, at $20 a copy, and is a free upgrade for
existing registered users.

DragThing requires at least System 7.5.5 (8.0 or later recommended) and a
Macintosh with a minimum of a Motorola 68020 or PowerPC 601 processor.
Storing URLs in docks requires the Internet Config extension to be
installed, version 2.0 or later.

The official DragThing web page is also available at

   <http://www.dragthing.com/>

you can download the latest version of DragThing there and get all
the up-to-date news and information.

Thanks,

James

HTML OptimizerPro 1.6.1

What it is: Tool to check and optimize your web pages
Author: Ton Brand
Company: Ton's Software
License: shareware US$8.00
Computer: PowerPC
MacOS: 7.5 or later
Abstract:
HTML OptimizerPro's main function is to save space on your web pages by
removing unnecessary characters and tags, making parsing the page by a
browser more efficient.
Four other useful functions of HTML OptimizerPro are:
(1) Checking the so called tagged pairs, i.e. the tags that always have to
appear together with their end tags. Further, IMG tags are checked for WIDTH,
HEIGHT and ALT attributes. ALT attributes can be added if missing, with or
without string.
(2) Checking the validity of the internal links.
(3) Marking dangling tags and missing attributes to find them quickly.
(4) Converting special characters to the &....; notation.
HTML OptimizerPro optimizes very fast: a few seconds for an average file.
New in this update is a bug fix related to removing comment lines.
HTML OptimizerPro is a PPC application and requires Mac OS 7.5 or later.

I have used a APS 2134-0006P unit for over a year now. It works great with
desktop Macs but does not work properly with my PB 3400. The drive is made
by Yamaha and they claims it works with the PB3400 but would not provide
support. That has to come from APS which was not able to help.
